fully upright wings with one arm raised to hold a spear and the other
resting on hip. Fierce frowning expression with bulging eyes, broad
nose with moustache and open mouth. Tang Dynasty (AD618-907). H.

Group
of twelve well modeled, fine details, colored glazed pottery processional
figures, eleven male and one female attendants, one saddled, harnessed horse
and a tall roofed sedan chair. Ming Dynasty (L. 16th C.). Height
of tallest: 19.5 in (49.5 cm).

Guardian -
Lokapala. Standing erect over a seated bull. Belligerent
commanding expression with both hands held in a fist. Elaborate
painted armor with a three peaks painted helmet. Tang Dynasty
(AD618-907). H. 21.25 in (54 cm).

metal fittings applied around the body and handles. Original patina
with natural mineral calcification. Western Han Dynasty (206BC -
